I came across this video for Safe Squats. It runs for over 20 minutes but it covers from beginners right through to advanced.
I suggest watching the beginning where Darin explains the correct posture and breathing to do this properly and safely.Then progressing through the stages that apply to you
Squats help you in real life situations because it resembles the actions we use when lifting and carrying things. When the actions become automatic you will protect yourself from bad backs and a lot of other muscle injuries
When done correctly you will also lose body fat,build toned muscle all over the body and increase bone density (thereby reducing risk of osteoporosis)
